It is a busy week with yet another game on Friday at Remington!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT -- ALLIE STONE! It is no surprise that this talented athlete is a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court, but what you may not know about Allie is her creative talent in journalism! Allie has been on the journalism staff all four years of high school and is currently the co-editor of the yearbook. Allie is an extremely hard worker who embraces new challenges. She is kind-hearted, willing to lend a helping hand, and is a friend to all. Allie is a National Honor Society member, a Discipleship Group Leader, and she accumulated many basketball honors this year! Allie recently signed with Tabor College to play basketball in the fall. Congratulations, Allie! Keep seeking Jesus with everything you do!

Due to rain in the forecast, the high school track meet this afternoon has been cancelled. The baseball game in Galva is still on and first pitch is at 4:30 pm. Go Eagles!

The JV Baseball team traveled to Sedgwick tonight and fell short 3-7 to the Cardinals.
The CG/ECS team is back on the field on Tuesday at 4:30 in Galva!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT -- MINA AROUM! Mina has a sparkling smile, a spunky personality, and the voice of an angel! She can be found on the basketball court during the girls' games, on the sidelines with the cheer squad during the guys' games, and lighting up the stage during musicals! Mina has been a steady presence in the high school choir all four years of high school, has qualified for State Choir two years, and also earned a spot in the KMEA Choir. She is an encourager, is loyal to her friends and family, and is always up for some fun! Mina is currently undecided on her plans after high school, but her end goal is to be a physical therapist. Congratulations, Mina! We can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for you!

Due to the possibility of rain, the JV baseball game has been moved up to 4:00 this afternoon.

This afternoon the JV baseball team travels to Sedgwick. There will be one 7 inning game beginning at 4:30. Let's go, Eagles!

ECS High School Banquet 2023!

The baseball and softball teams each had some great games and split with Moundridge on Friday evening.

The 2nd grade class enjoyed a beautiful day at the Sedgwick County Zoo!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT -- COLBY CLARK! Colby has a myriad of interests as shown by his involvement in choir, musicals, art, soccer, scholars bowl, worship team, and student council. Colby is a proven leader as the Senior Class President, a Discipleship Group Leader, a former Student Council President, and our May Fete King! He is a great mix of being kind, sincere, competitive, and focused, and he absolutely puts 100% into every single thing he does. Colby is headed to Missouri to the College of the Ozarks in the fall and will major in Computer Science. Congratulations, Colby! Continue to chase your passion for serving the Lord and others, and you will go far!

It's a beautiful day for some baseball/softball! Our high school teams are both playing this afternoon at Galva, beginning at 4:30 pm. Let's go, Eagles!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - KORTNEY POTTER! You may recognize Kortney from the volleyball court or the musical stage, but she also spends many hours serving as the co-editor of the school yearbook. To quote her Journalism teacher, "She is rock solid. If you need someone dependable, responsible, and willing to do her best - that's Kortney!". This multi-talented young lady is a member of National Honor Society, our Governor’s Scholar, and the class Valedictorian. Kortney is a quiet leader who brings a kindness and steady presence to any situation. She will be continuing her education next year at Hutchinson Community College, majoring in business and entrepreneurship to prepare her to join the family business! Congratulations, Kortney, keep your eyes on Jesus and continue to follow His lead!

The 2nd graders took the stage to lead elementary chapel this week! It is such a blessing to hear young children share about the love of Jesus!

The first grade class had a great time at Barnyard Day! Thank you, Inman High School FFA!

The HS Band & HS Choir performed at the State Music Festival in Lindsborg today. Both groups received “excellent” II ratings.
The band made history by being the first HS band from Elyria to attend at the State Music Festival contest, an exciting accomplishment!
The choir of 44 got to sing two very meaningful pieces, one called “Soli Deo Gloria” which means “to God alone be the glory”, and God is the one gets all the glory when students go and share their musical gifts before others. Congratulations to both groups for their hard work and delightful performances!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - DAN SCHOTT! There isn't a single person in school who would try to go up against Dan in a battle of professional football stats. You can name any two NFL teams and the year they played, and he'll tell you the final score of that game with pretty amazing accuracy! Dan is a diehard Tom Brady fan and would make a great sports analyst. Don't be surprised if you see him on ESPN someday! Dan is loyal to his friends, has a great sense of humor, and is known for his creative spirit week attire. Dan plans to continue his education at Hutchinson Community College for his Associate's Degree in General Studies. Congratulations, Dan! Go with God and be a difference maker!

It is always an extra-special day when students lead chapel! Andrew Huxman has spent years playing a variety of sports, but has been sidelined the vast majority of this year by not just one, but two knee surgeries. He shared that while trials are not easy, they are not necessarily a bad thing, and that earthly things can be gone in an instant, but God is our constant at all times.
Thank you, Andrew, for listening to God tug at your heart to share your journey!

A beautiful day for ECS to host a track meet with our friends at Goessel. We greatly appreciate the ‘all hands on deck’ serving mentality, of our school family and theirs!
