Student Worship Night...this Sunday!
Experience an evening led by students with passionate worship and a message from Tony Wedel at The Warehouse @ CCCK!
Open to everyone — bring a friend and come ready to worship!

She recently graduated from Wichita State University through the Teacher Apprenticeship Program, which allowed her to work as a para at Buhler Grade School while completing her degree online.
She lives in Buhler with her sweet dog 🐾 and loves spending time with family and friends, making crafts & creative projects , traveling and serving at her church by teaching Sunday school and helping with the youth group program.
Libby shared that she said “yes” to Elyria because it felt like an open door from God. A verse that’s especially meaningful to her in this season is John 15:5.
She can’t wait to meet her students and families and begin this exciting journey!
Let’s give Miss Penrose a warm Elyria welcome in the comments below!

Jen has been married to Rick for 31 years, and together they have 3 sons — Cameron, Brady, and Brett. Now in their “empty nest” season, Jen enjoys running, traveling, and hosting women’s retreats.
She first looked into teaching at Elyria because of friends who send their kids here and others who teach here, and she’s confident God has brought her to ECS for a specific reason. She’s excited to discover what that is!
One of her favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6, a beautiful reminder to trust the Lord’s leading. Jen and her family are eager to see what God has in store as they join the Elyria family.
Welcome, Jen!

Kelly is married to Rachel, and their kids — Elaina (12th), Isabelle (9th), and Zachariah (3rd) — are all proud ECS Eagles. They also share their home with Sable, the family dog.
When he’s not leading music or diving into God’s Word, Kelly loves cheering on K-State football & basketball, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Royals.
Kelly and Rachel have been praying over this opportunity, and when God opened the door, Kelly knew it was the right time to step into this role within our music department! One of his favorite verses is James 3:13 — a reminder to live out wisdom with humility.
Welcome to the team, Kelly!

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are coming to Elyria. Mark your calendar and spread the word!
One night. One stage. One powerful message.

Off they go!
We gathered to pray over and send our Seniors 2026 off on their mission trip. Over the next week, they’ll serve in a hurricane-affected area, build stronger bonds as a class, and grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.
We know they will return Friday, not only with amazing stories, but with hearts ready to lead and serve at ECS and wherever God calls them next. Please cover them in prayer for safety, strength, unity, and a powerful week of impact. 💙

We are in need of lunch volunteers! We are still short quite a few at the beginning of the year.
Think of it as a noble quest… except instead of slaying dragons, you'll be helping feed the children!
We need YOU.
Yes, YOU.✨
