
Shouldn't everyone know how to use a sewing machine? We think so! The 8th grade Life Skills class tried out their hand at this and created pillow cases for the win!


As demonstrated by the third graders, today marks 100 days of school!

The junior high quiz bowl had their first meet on Monday afternoon at ECS. The 8th grade team took 3rd place and one of the 7th grade teams took 1st place. Good job to all our participants!


The high school basketball teams will compete at Berean Academy on Tuesday afternoon. Games kick off at 4:30 with JV girls playing a half game in the auxiliary gym and JV boys playing a full game in the main gym. Let's go, Eagles!


On Friday, the third graders enjoyed a day of learning outside of the classroom on a field trip to Exploration Place in Wichita!

Come out to the ECS gym this evening for a high school basketball game vs Little River. Action begins at 4:00 with the JV girls. The sophomore class will be serving a Mexican meal fundraiser for $10 per plate. This will take place from 5:00-7:00 or until food runs out. Go Eagles!


Spelling Bee Results- After the individual grade rounds, ECS held a top 4 in each grade represented! These four advanced to the Final Rounds.

After the Finals were completed…ECS came home with 2 ribbons!!! Tessa earned 4th place and Izzy earned 5th place.





The high school basketball team is heading to Goessel this afternoon with a start time of 4:30 for the JV girls. Go Eagles!


Hard loss to Centre for 4th Place at the Wheat State League Tournament. Final score was 34-37. Boys played with grit! Hold your head high as ECS is proud of you all!


JH Girls are the Wheat State League Champions!! Way to soar Ladies!! The final was 20 - 10.


JH boys will play for 3rd, after a hard fought game against Canton-Galva. They came up short with the score of 23 - 44.


JH Girls won over Rural Vista 27 - 15 and clinched the championship game!


Rachael Friesen performed at the Regional Piano Festival at Bethany College and received a 1 - Outstanding Rating.
She will be going on to the State Piano Festival at Wichita State University on February 17th.


While learning about France, the freshmen experienced a French Cafe today during Geography class. They had coffee and ordered from a French menu. What better way to study geography than with food!


First grade did an awesome job presenting the elementary chapel this week! They talked about life choices and the consequences, both good and bad, that come with those choices. Nice job, first grade!


The junior high basketball teams will compete in their last games of the season on Saturday at the Wheat State League tournament in Solomon. Girls will play their first game at 1:00, boys will play their first game at 2:15. Let's go, Eagles!


The high school basketball teams are on the road again, this time to Herington. Action begins at 4:00 pm with a C Boys team half game. Go Eagles!


January was a crazy month of weather, snow days, morning delays, and plenty of rescheduling. That didn't stop the 3rd graders from getting some fresh air and enjoying a quick recess in the snow!


Fifth grade heard the story "The Lonely Typewriter" and got to try out a manual typewriter in computer class. It was a little bit different than what they are used to!
