
The Jr. Lady Eagles wrapped up their season today at the WSL tournament, hosted by Rural-Vista. They started the morning strong and earned a spot in the championship game. The championship did not go their way, and they finished the day with a second place plaque! The young ladies had a fantastic season, and we are so proud of them!!!



XC had a windy meet Thursday and blew in the awards. They participated in a "challenge" which combined the Wheat State League and Heart of the Plains League (HOPL). The top 15 overall runners were awarded medals. The 7th graders finished their first quarter Leadership class by giving step -by-step demonstrations on any subject of their choice. They covered topics such as cooking (cakes/desserts, caramel puffs, cheese dip, smoothies, rice krispie treats, paninis, etc), sports, card tricks, paper folding, and cookie decorating. It was a fun (and delicious) way to wrap up the first nine weeks while showcasing their skills!

This afternoon the junior high volleyball team will complete their regular season with a home game versus WAHAA. Action begins at 4:00. Meanwhile, the cross country team will travel to Halstead and will run at 4:00 (boys) and 4:30 (girls). Good luck to all! Go Eagles!


Today the volleyball team had fun celebrating our senior Julia Allen. She reached 1000 digs last night, we thought she should have a shovel for all her hard work. So exciting to have another senior reach such a high milestone!



Today these students attended the Health Awareness Day at Salina Regional Medical Center. It was an educational day learning specifics about many different healthcare fields to possibly pursue. They were very appreciative and grateful for the experience.


It was a rough night for the Lady Eagles as they couldn’t get it going against host WAHAA. We have no doubt they will come back stronger as they prepare for the league tournament on Saturday!

It was an early morning for the Cross Country Team! They managed to rise to the challenge, and worked hard!! Way to go Eagles!!

Junior high chapel was blessed with a special music performance consisting of a trio of 8th graders Hayley Hoxie, Elisse Friesen, and Marin Siebert. Later that afternoon they, along with the rest of the worship team and the junior high choir, performed for the residents at The Cedars in McPherson. They all did a great job!


The junior high soccer team will complete their season on Saturday at the Berean Festival. The first ECS game is versus Hesston at 10:30. Let's go, Eagles!

The 6th grade science class experienced some hands-on learning with special guest Matthew Goering. He spoke to the class about soil types and soil components. The students were able to help soil sample the soccer field and study results.



Today is an Eagle game day for multiple teams! The junior high volleyball girls are on the road to Herington this afternoon, with games beginning at 4:00. The junior high soccer team heads the opposite direction to Wichita to take on Holy Cross, also at 4:00. High school cross country athletes will complete beginning at 4:45 at the Bethel College Course in North Newton. Good luck to all our athletes! Go Eagles!


Tonight the Lady Eagles were gifted hair ribbons by the Peabody volleyball team, as they honored women who have battled or are battling cancer. The girls proudly wore their ribbons as they stepped on the court and earned a couple of wins!
The Eagles later celebrated their teammate Macy Reiff as she reached a milestone of completing 1000 digs! We are so proud of her amazing accomplishment!!

The junior high students took a break from the routine last week as they attended their annual retreat at P&M Pumpkin Ranch. They started the morning with a devotional, some teamwork activities, and then spent the day enjoying the many activities offered. It was a great day for all!

Today the Lady Eagles volleyball team had a long, but good day at the Burrton tournament. They finished first in pool play with a 3-1 record. In bracket play, they won their first game which earned them a spot in the championship game. They ended up finishing the day with a 4-2 record and a second place finish!!
To top off the day, two ECS players were selected for All-Tournament Team. They are the Reiff sisters, Macy and Laney!!
Way to go today, Eagles! We are so proud of you girls!!
