
To finish off the semester with some extra fun, StuCo planned Christmas Spirit Week for all K-12 students and staff. Themes included were Pajama Day, Christmas Character Day, Ugly Sweater Day, Christmas Colors Day, and Santa Hat Day. The creativity was definitely flowing at ECS this week!

The high school basketball teams are on the road to Solomon on Friday. The JV girls will begin the evening with a half game at 5:00 pm. Good luck to all our teams! Go Eagles!

In the final night of the Bluebird Classic, we faced off against Goessel. The Lady Eagles Varsity and JV fell in hard fought battles. The boys soared through the evening with shut downs for both Varsity and JV teams!

Career presentations in high school computer class have been outstanding! Everything from pediatric nursing and criminal investigation, to veterinarians and missionaries, to marine biology, interior design, and childcare workers. Great job, freshmen!




The sixth grade Bible class has been busy making and presenting diorama boxes with various Bible stories. Noah's ark, Jonah in the whale, Ruth, and Moses are just a few examples of stories that were chosen. Great job, 6th graders!


This evening the high school basketball teams will compete in the last game of the Goessel Bluebird Classic. They will play versus Goessel beginning at 7:00 pm. Let's go, Eagles!

These boys showed up today for the JV Scholars Bowl meet at Canton-Galva. They went 5-1 and placed 1st! Way to soar!



Tonight was night two of the Bluebird Classic. Our opponents, Little River brought a talented girls’ team that defeated the Lady Eagles. The boys’ side of the evening finished with wins for both JV and Varsity!

The high school basketball season kicks off on Friday afternoon at Moundridge. JV boys begin at 4:30 with varsity following at 6:00 and 7:30. Games will be livestreamed on the NFHS Network. Please note that there is no JV girls game. Let's go, Eagles!
Beginning at 5:00, there will be a chili feed in the Moundridge High School commons. Cost is a free will donation, with proceeds going to help a USD 423 staff member and his family with significant medical expenses.

Tuesday was Box Lunch Day! The guys provided the food, and the girls bid for their spot at a table. The sophomores ended up raising the most money for StuCo with their Chicken Fried Steak & Mashed Potato meal, but the other classes also had great options with Mexican food, a Baked Potato Bar, and Chic-Fil-A. Nice work, gentleman!
