My time at Elyria began in 2016, serving as the Athletic Director. In addition to overseeing the athletic program, I assist with event set-up and tear-down; provide transportation to athletic events, field trips, and activities; and perform facility maintenance. I also coach JH soccer and HS boys basketball, and have previously coached JH/HS track. I hold a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, a Master of Business Administration, and a master's degree in Building Administration-Principal.
I started at ECS because there was an opportunity to coach the HS boys basketball team and drive the morning school bus route. Over the years, I have remained at Elyria because of the meaningful relationships I've built with students, families, and staff, as well as the opportunity to pour into boys and young men at the school. I believe the Lord is giving us a special opportunity to be good stewards of His school. Through relationships, discipline, and inspiring the next generation to seek a relationship with Christ, we are able to witness His work in our lives. My approach to teaching is shaped by my faith and the understanding that life’s small joys - whether it’s a smile, a genuine interaction, or simply being fully present in the moment - are where God is at work. And, I definitely lean on God's mercy during field trips!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, going to basketball games (Tabor, Berean, & Elyria), as well as investing in young people and helping them reach their goals. My family and I attend Newspring Church in Wichita.
