My time at ECS began with custodial work in 2010-2011, then again in 2020. I began teaching elementary music in 2023. Over the years, I have been a student (elementary and JH), custodian, substitute teacher, music teacher, lunch lady, JH Worship Team leader, and a member of the spiritual formation team for elementary and JH. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies.

Serving the Lord at ECS is truly a blessing and a privilege! Growing up with parents who were involved in the school from its beginning, ECS has been a part of my life since childhood. I’ve always desired to return and contribute in some way, and I’m so thankful that God has allowed me to be a part of this amazing school family.

Our students are growing daily in their knowledge of God, His Word, and His world!  We have the privilege of watching the Lord shape the hearts and minds of these children as they study, sing, worship, invest in friendships, and participate in extracurricular activities. Our purpose is to worship God in every area of life, but the Lord has given us music as a special gift with which to worship. My faith in Jesus Christ is central to how and what I teach because I want my students to know, love, and worship the Lord, and to be equipped with songs that honor God and are full of His Word!

Outside of school, music, home restoration projects, and time with my family keep me busy! My family and I attend Grace Community Church, Newton.

Favorite Verse:

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed - always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh… Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. - II Corinthians 4:7-11, 16-18
