I began my journey with Elyria Christian School in 2022 as a 2nd grade teacher. In 2023, I transitioned into the role of Elementary Principal, serving in that position for two years. I now serve as an Assistant Administrator while also teaching K–12 Computer and Journalism. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (K–4) and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a Technology Endorsement.
Before coming to ECS, I was drawn to the opportunity to openly share and discuss God in the classroom. One of the things I value most about ECS is our culture of prayer—whether it’s staff praying for one another, classrooms lifting up needs, or student discipleship groups encouraging each other in faith.
At Elyria, we are all encouraged to grow in Christ. I have had the privilege of witnessing students experience real transformation—where outward changes in behavior come from inward changes of the heart. With the understanding that God’s grace and forgiveness are always available, I strive to guide students in reflecting on their choices and learning how to respond differently, all while pointing them back to Him.
Outside of school, I enjoy quilting, reading, and cheering on my boys in their activities. My family and I attend New Hope Church in McPherson.
