My journey with ECS began in 2022, where I taught 2nd grade, and in 2023, I transitioned into the role of Elementary Principal. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-4) and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a Technology endorsement.
Before coming to Elyria, I was drawn to the idea of being able to openly share and discuss God in the classroom. I truly appreciate the culture of prayer at ECS, where we lift each other up across classrooms, among staff, and within student discipleship groups.
At ECS, we are all encouraged to grow in Christ. I have had the privilege of witnessing the profound transformation in students, where changes in behavior are deeply rooted in changes of the heart. With the understanding that God extends grace and forgiveness, I aim to guide students in recognizing their choices, helping them reflect on how things could have been different, and always pointing them back to God.
I enjoy quilting, reading, and watching my boys’ activities. My family and I attend New Hope Church in McPherson.
