During my time at Elyria, my roles have included aiding in high school English and math classes, teaching JH history and Algebra I, and I currently serve as a class sponsor for the Class of 2025. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a concentration in Secondary Education.
The Lord opened doors for me to join ECS in 2018 as an aide, and the next year I felt led to fill the need for a teacher. I believe teaching at Elyria is very worthwhile labor and working with such a wonderful group of people is a blessing. God is faithful to protect and grow us, both as students and adults, when we remain focused on Him and faithful to His direction. I would not be teaching here if it weren’t for my faith; I believe a primary goal of Christian educators is to help students recognize that God is the foundation of their truly successful future. By seeking Him first, they can discover their purpose and place in His world and His kingdom.
Outside of school, I love reading, music, walking/hiking/biking/sitting outside on lovely days, being with family, and am somewhat of an amateur gardener. McPherson Free Methodist Church is my family’s church home.
