I began at ECS in 2023 as the secondary principal, and oversee the curriculum, faculty development, and chapel and worship teams. Additionally, I get to be in the classroom, something I love, and teach 9-11 Bible classes. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in music ministry, as well as a master’s degree in Christian thought. My doctorate is in worship studies.
God has given me a heart for young people, music ministry, and school administration. Getting to use these gifts at ECS is such a blessing. How awesome it is to get to work with students every day! AMAZING! God has called me to see young people learn the attributes of God, how to love our relational God, and love our neighbor sitting right next to us and those who may be farther away. I see this happening at ECS…what a gift!
We get to see the Lord work every day through our teachers in the little ways: kind or encouraging words, grace-filled correction, attending a game or musical event…and the list could go on and on. Our teachers embrace the call to be the body of Christ. I can only boast in the Lord for anything in my life that resembles holiness. My goal is to teach the true things of God that are eternal to our students. That being said, they are on the same journey as me. In other words, we are growing and learning together, leaning on the Holy Spirit to illuminate His truth to us daily.
When I’m not working, I enjoy fishing with my kids, playing and listening to music, Royals baseball, and most recently pickleball. My family and I attend Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson.
Favorite Verse:
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” - Romans 12:1-2
