I hold a Master of Divinity degree and began teaching at Elyria in 2022. While participating in the high school retreat at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year as the speaker, I made a connection with the students. I could see God was working at the school, so I jumped in. I love seeing young people learn to love the Bible and make their faith their own.
I am uniquely blessed in my role to see how our 12th graders grow as they dig deeper in their relationship with God. The Holy Spirit clearly gets a hold of them in marvelous ways.
Jesus is the core of who I am; therefore, He is the core of my classroom. My struggles play an equal part in my teaching, as authenticity breeds relationship.
Outside of school, I have a podcast, “Cover2Cover: A Bible Reading Podcast.” I love exercise and am currently furthering my own education, as well. My family and I attend Harvest Church in Hesston, where I am the teaching pastor.
