I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and began teaching 3rd grade at ECS in 2023. My husband and I made the decision to transition our kids from public school to ECS in the fall of 2022. As we began meeting teachers, kids, and other families from ECS, we were blown away by their faith and kindness.  We grew and changed as we met each one of them.  When the 3rd grade position became available, I felt God nudging me to apply, so I could help students grow in their faith and learning, just as those we met had done for us. We continue to send our children to ECS because their spiritual and academic growth is beyond what we could have imagined.  Furthermore, we stay because of the people (co-teachers, co-parents, staff) -  the very same reason we decided to come to ECS.

God is always working, whether or not we see it. Sometimes His work is visible, and sometimes it’s not, but I know He is present and active here. I am certain that every administrator, teacher, and student is placed at ECS by God with a purpose, and He is doing good far beyond what we can often see. God is patient.  God is Kind.  God is Gentle.  God is self-control.  I teach because He first taught us.  My email tagline is from Proverbs 22:6, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”  I hope the small part I play in my students’ education and spiritual quest will help guide them to be faithful disciples of Christ.

When I am not at school, my hobbies include spending time with my family, playing sports with my boys or watching them play sports, and watching my grand baby.  My family and I attend Marquette United Methodist Church.
