Dear Elyria Christian School Families,
Thank you for your prayers and your support over the past few weeks as we have conducted an administrative search. It is with great excitement that we welcome Mr. Allen Siemens as the ECS Head Administrator. Mr. Siemens served at Elyria Christian School from 1991-2004 in a variety of roles: principal, athletic director, and math, physics, and Bible teacher – often all in the same year!
Mr. Siemens was on staff when ECS experienced tremendous growth in student enrollment numbers and in classroom space. During his time here, the school progressed from a K-8 program of 80 students to a full K-12 building with an enrollment of 240. Mr. Siemens was instrumental in the development of the elementary and secondary wing additions, as well as the commons, computer lab and gymnasium. While he led many advancement projects, he was best known for his relationship with students, his servant’s heart, and his spiritual leadership.
Mr. Siemens has a passion for Christian education and a desire to serve teachers, students, and families. His focus is on keeping Christ as the foundation of every aspect of the school. He shared, “When Christ is our focus, our desire will be to do everything – spiritual training, academics, athletics, outreach, etc. – with excellence.”
Allen and his wife, Denise, reside in rural McPherson. They have two grown children, Annie, who lives in Sweden with her husband David, and Ben, who lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Amanda. They also have 5 young grandchildren. They attend Kingdom Life Ministries in Hesston. We want to extend a warm welcome to Allen and Denise as they transition back to Elyria Christian School. We are so thankful for the Lord’s provision and direction for ECS! Let’s join together as a school family to continue to pray for them and our school as we head into an exciting new year.
